Trailhead for access to Lake Trail #110 Trail and Rattlesnake Trail #107.

No pass required

Permits are required for commercial or organized uses.

Please do not camp in trailhead parking areas. All stock feed brought onto the Gila National Forest must be certified weed free.

No fees are required for this site

Pets must be leashed in the trailhead

Please contact the Gila National Forest Supervisors Office at 575-388-8201 for information about outfitters and guides who are authorized to operate on the forest.

Directions

From Highway 52 at Winston, turn left onto Republic Road for 1.5 miles. Turn left onto St. Cloud Road and follow it 5.5 miles to Forest Road 157 (Hermosa Road). Turn left, following Hermosa Road approximately 15. miles to Forest Road 4081A. Turn left onto 4081A and follow it to its end at Lake Trailhead along Morgan Creek.

Biking - Mountain Info

Bicycling allowed on Hermosa Road, and segments of Trails #107 and 110 that are outside of the Aldo Leopold Wilderness.
