Cox Canyon Trail #15/CDNST Trailhead

Trailhead on Forest Road 94 - Cox Canyon Road for access to Divide Trail #15 and the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail #74 on the Gila National Forest.

Year-round

Parking is available overnight; occupancy and use at the trailhead is dawn to dusk.

No pass required

Permits are required for commercial or organized uses.

Please do not camp in trailhead parking areas. All stock feed brought onto the Gila National Forest must be certified weed free.

No fees are required for this site

Pets must be leashed in the trailhead

Please contact the Gila National Forest Supervisors Office at 575-388-8201 for information about outfitters and guides who are authorized to operate on the forest.

Directions

From Reserve, travel north on New Mexico Highway 12 for 12 miles to Apache Creek across from New Mexico Highway 32. Turn east (right) onto Forest Road 94, Cox Canyon Road and proceed approximately 13.8 miles to the trailhead, located at a sharp switchback in the road.
