Trailhead for access to the Black Range Crest Trail #79.

Parking is available overnight; occupancy and use at the trailhead is dawn to dusk.

No pass required

Permits are required for commercial or organized uses.

Please do not camp in trailhead parking areas. All stock feed brought onto the Gila National Forest must be certified weed free.

No fees are required for this site

Pets must be leashed in the trailhead

From New Mexico Highway 35 north of Mimbres, turn east onto Forest Road 152, Mcknight Road, following it approximately 15 miles to the trailhead adjacent to the Aldo Leopold Wilderness Area. Continuing a further 3 miles arrives at the McKnight Trailhead.
