Bear Canyon Overlook Picnic Area

The Bear Canyon Overlook provides spectacular views of the Sabino Creek canyon and of Tucson and area. After sunset, the Sabino Creek canyon is in shadow, but Tucson and the surrounding desert glow red against the backdrop of blue and purple mountains.

General Information

Day use only; no overnight camping allowed

Camping is not permitted.

Pack and saddle stock are not permitted in the picnic area.

Dogs are prohibited in the Sabino Canyon Recreation Area.

Day Use:
$8 per vehicle per day
$10 per vehicle per week

Proof of payment or a valid Coronado National Forest Annual Pass or Interagency (America The Beautiful) Pass including the Annual: Senior, Access, and Active Duty Military pass, must be displayed on the driver’s side of the vehicle dashboard.  Other visitors should carry their day pass with them.
