The 2025 Forest Health Conditions Report for national forests in Arizona and New Mexico documents significant forest insect activity and disease incidence observed in 2025 during aerial detection survey flights and ground surveys across the region. These data are collected annually by the USFS Forest Health Protection team; the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management; and the New Mexico Energy, Minerals, and Natural Resources Department.
