June 9, 2026 -- The 15-acre Spring Creek Fire is burning northeast of Thomasville. Information about this fire is available on the White River Facebook Page, www.facebook.com/WhiteRiverNF. Information about evacuations related to the Spring Creek Fire is available at www.ecemergency.org. 

There are currently no fire-related closures on the White River National Forest. The latest information about Forest closures and other orders is available here.

There are no fire restrictions in place on the White River National Forest. This page will be updated if restrictions are implemented. (Last updated 6-9-26) 

Please continue to be careful with fire:

• Ensure you campfire is cold to the touch before leaving it
• Ensure your trailer chains are not dragging (this actually is the cause of many wildfires)
• Avoid parking in dry grass 

As of April 10, the White River National Forest has no planned prescribed fires.
