Wigwam Trailhead

Wigwam Trailhead is the eastern terminus of the Wigwam Trail. It provides access to Lost Creek Wilderness and to Wigwam Park, where the trail continues beyond the South Park Ranger District boundary. This moderate trail is a total of 11 miles and intersects with Brookside-McCurdy, Rolling Creek and Goose Creek trails, enabling hikers to form their own loops.

Getting There

Directions

From Deckers, Colo., take County Road 126 (Deckers Road) for 2.7 miles. Turn right onto Forest Road 211 (Wigwam Creek Road), and in 2 miles turn right onto Goose Creek Road to stay on 211.  At the "Y" junction of Forest Road 211 and Forest Road 560, go right on 560 (Stoney Pass Road) for 4 miles. Turn left onto Forest Road 545, reaching the trailhead after 1.3 miles. 

Travel Considerations

Some Forest Service roads may require high clearance, four-wheel drive or both.
