Tennessee Pass Trailhead

Tennessee Pass Trailhead accesses the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail and Colorado Trail #1776 Segment 9. The Colorado Trail and the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail follow the same path for approximately 200 miles. This area offers recreational activites for all four seasons.

Tennessee Pass is a 10,424ft mountain pass that crosses the Continental Divide, separating the Mosquito and Sawatch mountain ranges as well as the Colorado River and Arkansas River watersheds. In the 1880’s a mining boom brought many prospectors to the area and the first railroad over the pass was built in 1881.
