Mallard Ponds Fishing Site

Located east of Cimarron Recreation Area on Forest System Road 700, these human-made ponds are stocked with fish by the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks. Please refer to Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks for further information regarding licensing, size limits, etc.

Open 24 hours/day

Commercial outfitter and guides required to have a special use permit. Fees vary.

Kansas state rules and regulations apply. No swimming is allowed.

Directions

From Elkhart, Kan., take State Highway 27 north for approximately 7 miles. Just before the river, turn east onto Forest System Road 700. Continue 5-6 miles. The ponds are on north side of the road.
