Deer Creek Campground

Deer Creek Campground is a wooded campground located at an elevation of 9,168 feet. Mature trees provide shade, and hiking trails are nearby. Deer Creek and Camp Creek join near the campground, providing the sound of running water. No dump station or hook-up is available. The host is located at the Meridian Campground.

All dates are weather dependent. Visitors may expect full service from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend. The area also has an extended season when services such as water, trash or a host may not be available during the fall/winter/spring.

This is a first-come, first-served campground.

The Interagency Senior Pass and the Interagency Access Pass qualify for a 50% discount at concessionaire-run campsites. The discount only applies to the fee for the campsite physically occupied by the pass owner, not to any additional campsite(s) occupied by members of the pass owner's party.

The following restrictions apply to this campground:

  • A maximum of eight people, two tents and two vehicles or one recreation vehicle (RV) is allowed per site.
  • Dogs must be leashed at all times.
  • No discharge of firearms or fireworks is allowed.
  • Only licensed vehicles can operate inside campground.
  • Camping is not allowed behind a locked gate.

$28 fee per site for overnight camping. Two vehicles or one RV per site is included in the camping fee. There is an $11 fee for a third vehicle.

$11 fee for day use if not camping overnight.

Fees are payable by cash, check or money order. Scan and Pay is available. First-come, first-served sites must be occupied the same night.

Dogs must be on a leash at all times.

Directions

From Denver, travel U.S. Highway 285 south toward Fairplay for approximately 25 miles to the top of Crow Hill. Turn north onto Park County Road 43A, going towards the community of Harris Park. After 7 miles, the road splits; stay left onto the dirt road. The campground will be on your left after 2 miles.

Parking for two vehicles or one RV per site is included. Additional vehicles will be charged $11 each.
