Forest Product Permits
Personal and/or commercial use permits are required to gather many special forest products, including edible or decorative material, firewood, mushrooms and post and poles. Use the cards below to navigate to permit information for each forest product available on the Pike-San Isabel National Forests & Cimarron and Comanche National Grasslands.
Firewood Permits
The Forest Service sells permits to cut firewood (also called fuelwood) for personal use.
Transplant Permits
Tree transplants are available on the Pike-San Isabel National Forests with a valid permit.

Christmas Tree Permits
Whether this is your first time cutting your own Christmas tree, or it's been a family tradition for generations, it is a special experience that creates lifelong memories! This permit allows you to cut a Christmas tree within designated areas of the Pike & San Isabel National Forests.
