The Forest Service publishes a variety of map products to help you enjoy your visit. Many maps and brochures are available online and more options are available at our Forest offices.
Forest Visitor Map
Black Hills National Forest Visitor's Map
The Black Hills National Forest Visitor's Map is a comprehensive map showing forest roads, highways, cities, bodies of water, recreational sites, campgrounds, trails and private vs. public land designations on the entire Black Hills National Forest.
The Black Hills National Forest Visitor's Map is available in paper format from any of the local Forest Service offices or purchase online from the USGS Store.

Motor Vehicle Use Map (MVUM)
Motor Vehicle Use Maps are available for the 1.2 million acre Black Hills National Forest. Motor Vehicle Use Maps are the official map for designating all roads, trails and areas available for public motorized travel on the National Forest.
Non-motorized Trail Brochures
The Forest has over 450 miles of non-motorized trails ranging in length and difficulty. Many Forest trail brochures (.pdf) are available for free download.
