This section of trail starts at the Summit of Mount Blue Sky Interpretive Site parking area. This short hike will allow you to "bag a fourteener" the easy way.

From the parking area at Summit Lake, go north past the rock shelter house to the north end of the lake and locate the trail that climbs up Mount Spalding's east ridge.

The Lower Goliath Trailhead is located along the Mount Blue Sky Highway and provides access to the M. Walter Pesman Trail (#50).
