Give happy: A win-win opportunity
“The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much; it is whether we provide enough for those who have too little.” — Franklin D. Roosevelt
The quote above encapsulates what we are working toward with 2023 Combined Federal Campaign. State, Private and Tribal Forestry is the 2023 host for CFC, and it is my pleasure to lead the Forest Service effort.
This year’s theme is Give Happy. It is based on the premise that you feel good when you share and help others. Those who benefit from your generosity are happy that someone cares and that they are receiving help. It is a win-win opportunity.
CFC is the only authorized charity or solicitation campaign allowed in the federal government. And though we hope as many employees as possible will participate, it is completely voluntary and optional.
Give Happy through CFC.
The Forest Service 2023 CFC goal is $208,789.23.
Thanks to your generosity, we have reached $92,79.00, so we still have work to do.
With your support, we will continue to provide so others can thrive.
The main benefit of CFC is that you get to choose the charity of your choice, and the donations you give make a significant difference in the lives of others. There is so much need all around us and throughout the world that it can leave us feeling sad, hopeless and wondering what we can do. But there is much you can do to help. There are thousands of charities to choose from. Your support helps them as they work to help others. It is easy to give, and it is a feel good/Give Happy thing to do.
Each week the CFC offers a “Cause of the Week.” So far, we have acknowledged food and nutrition, education, disaster and crisis response, end poverty, arts and humanity, animal welfare, military and veteran services, community improvement, housing and shelter, and Giving Tuesday. Through CFC, federal employees can make charitable donations and pledge volunteer hours to charities they care about. Join the thousands of federal employees and retirees who donate through payroll deduction and GIVE HAPPY year-round.
CFC offers four ways to give. Go to GiveCFC.org and select the charity(s) of your choice.
