FVS Software
Obtain the complete set of Forest Vegetation Simulator (FVS) software, along with training materials, by downloading the Complete Package. The FVS variants, unaccompanied by the user interface, may be downloaded via the Geographic Variants Package. The FVS interface and variant source code may be obtained from the FVS Source Code Project. Additional information for obtaining FVS-ready data and Keyword Component Files (Addfiles) can be found below.
Complete Package
This FVS Software Complete Package includes the FVS graphical user interface, which includes the Stand Visualization System (SVS3d), a spatial “Maps” feature that displays FVS simulation results aligned with stand polygon data, and powerful graphing and table-creation capabilities. It also includes the latest FVS Variant files, sample data and regional training workbooks.

Geographic Variants Package
The FVS Variants Package contains all of the FVS variant executables (FVSxx.exe) and dynamic link libraries (FVSxx.dll), where xx is the two digit variant abbreviation.

FVS Source Code Project
The FVS Source Code Project is available through the "open-fvs" project. See the Downloading Source Code page on the open-fvs Wiki for information about using a GitHub client to download the FVS source files. There are also instructions on the Wiki for building FVS executable files using several different tools.
