Hoonah District Ranger, Art Burbank, presents Chris Budke with the 2015 Forest Management Employee of the Year Award
The Alaska Region recently announced that Chris Budke, Timber Management Assistant on the Hoonah Ranger District, is the recipient of the 2015 Forest Management Employee of the Year. Hoonah District Ranger Art Burbank presented the award to Budke on December 22. Budke was recognized for not only his long tenure in Hoonah and the Tongass National Forest, but for his success in leading and assisting interdisciplinary teams for environmental analyses, developing timber sales, supervising and mentoring employees, and his ongoing service as a community volunteer.
