Plan Revision Engagement Opportunities
Tongass National Forest Land Management Plan Revision Hub
We want to create opportunities for open communication and collaboration of ideas about the direction for the new Forest Plan. Engaging in meaningful dialogue throughout the process will be essential to success. It is important we have everyone's input to achieve mutually agreeable outcomes on the land and in our communities. There are numerous engagement opportunities—from workshops to online sessions to public comment periods—that offer a chance to participate and engage in the revision process. A representative from the Tongass Plan Revision team is available to attend your group meeting to provide an introductory presentation on Forest Plan Revision. Please list several date options, the location of the meeting, and if a virtual presentation is an option.

The Forest Service needs your help to create a Plan that protects resources, supports sustainable economies, maintains healthy ecosystems and meets community needs. At these community workshops a brief presentation will be provided, and then the workshop will be an informal, open setting. This will give you the opportunity to share thoughts and ideas on your vision for the Tongass and ask questions about the Plan Revision Process.

Revision Office Hours are an informal, virtual opportunity for dialogue with the Revision Team. Members from the team will be available to answer questions about the Tongass National Forest’s land management plan revision.
