A regional federal recreation advisory committee will hear 20 proposals to establish or change user fees on four national forests and the Salem District of the Bureau of Land Management when it meets in Portland on Friday, Oct. 30.

The meeting, scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., is open with a public comment period at 10:30 a.m. Comments will be limited to three minutes per person. Written comments on fee-related issues may be sent to Dan Harkenrider, 902 Wasco St, Suite 200, Hood River, OR., 97031

The meeting will be held:

  • Friday, Oct. 30
  • 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

In addition, the Committee will hear a presentation on Forest Service recreation rentals at 9 a.m.

The Pacific Northwest Recreation Resource Advisory Committee makes recommendations on new recreation fee proposals or changes to fees on public lands managed by the U.S. Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management in Oregon and Washington. The volunteer committee members represent a wide range of interest groups from both states.
