Seven geneticists and over 30 support personnel provide leadership, training, and expertise to incorporate sound genetic principles into the conservation and restoration of forest resources.
Services
- Provide locally adapted, genetically diverse, native plant materials for re-vegetation activities
- Provide emergency fire recovery assistance to National Forests
- Provide training to National Forests for seed management
- Provide understanding of the level and pattern of genetic variation toward conservation and restoration of species of concern
- Provide durable genetic resistance to endemic and introduced diseases of forest trees
- Provide conduits into research, academic, and forest industry arenas
