The second Advisory Council meeting was Wednesday, May 4, and Thursday, May 5, 2016, from 8am to 5pm PDT, plus an optional field trip on Friday, May 6, 2016, from 8am to 5pm PDT, at the Northwest Maritime Center, 431 Water Street, Port Townsend, Washington.

The purpose of this meeting is to:
- review significant resources and current trail uses along the Pacific Northwest National Scenic Trail;
- provide recommendations on the nature and purposes of the Pacific Northwest National Scenic Trail, including trail uses; and
- discuss potential interpretive thmese and strategies for youth and community engagement on the Pacific Northwest National Scenic Trail.
