Ashley National Forest Solicits Campground Concessionaire Proposals

The Ashley National Forest is seeking proposals for a concessionaire to provide high-quality public services in the management of 30 family and group campgrounds and one cabin and bunkhouse complex on the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area and Ashley National Forest. 

One special use permit will be issued to the successful applicant. The forest plans to make a selection during the fall of 2024, with the successful applicant beginning operations on January 1, 2025.

The Ashley National Forest provides a broad range of quality recreational opportunities and experiences for visitors around the world. The concession program represents one means of delivering recreation opportunities to the public and providing business opportunities to those interested in managing recreation sites on the forest.

Anyone interested in this opportunity is encouraged to apply. Applicants must submit one (1) hard copy and one (1) electronic copy of their application package, supporting documents, and business plan. All applications must be received by the forest no later than 4:30 p.m. PDT on Wednesday, May 1st, 2024.

Complete proposals must be mailed to the Ashley National Forest, Forest Supervisor, with attention to Jayson Roundy at 355 North Vernal Ave., Vernal, UT 84078.

Applicants must submit the required processing fee with each proposal submitted, along with a separate payment for the Small Business Development Center review. Payments must be enclosed in the application package.
