Restriction of Motorized Vehicles in Designated Wildlife Quiet Areas
The purpose of this Order is to reduce motorized disturbance in areas of core wildlife habitat. This Order shall be in effect from June 10, 2024, at 5:00 pm through June 10, 2029,at 5:00 pm, unless rescinded. A map identifying each of the Described Areas is attached and made part of this Order as Exhibits A1–A10.
Guidance on the Prohibition of Scattering Ashes and Erecting Memorials
It is Forest Service policy to not permit the placement of memorials, monuments, shrines or items of remembrance on our shared lands. Existing permitting authorities do not provide for the permanent use of the NFS land.
