The Wayne National Forest Supervisor's office is located in Athens County and oversees the management of the entire Forest. The Supervisor's Office includes the Wayne National Forest Welcome Center and is the best place for information about forest-wide planning and use. We encourage you to call or stop by one of our offices for more information about each specific area of the Forest or help in planning your visit.
The Athens Ranger Station-Athens Unit office manages more than 72,000 acres of the Wayne National Forest located in southeast Ohio. The Athens Unit office is co-located in Athens County with the Forest Supervisor's Office. Communities nearest the Athens Unit include Athens, Nelsonville, and New Straitsville.
The Athens Ranger Station-Marietta Unit office manages over 64,000 acres of the Wayne National Forest located in southeast Ohio. Communities nearest the Marietta Unit include Marietta, Graysville, and New Matamoras.
The Ironton Ranger Station manages more than 107,000 acres of the Wayne National Forest in the southernmost part of Ohio. Communities nearest this office include Ironton and Oak Hill.
