Pack up your picnic basket and enjoy one of these favorite spaces on the Chippewa National Forest.

Picnicking - Single

Picnic areas to visit: Laurentian Divide Wayside (Marcell), Shingobee River or Lake Erin (Walker), Benjamin Lake or North Twin Lake (Blackduck).

Picnicking - Group

Norway Beach Beach Picnic Shelter.  Located 4 miles east of Cass Lake within the beautiful Norway Beach Recreation Area. Open Hours 8 AM- 10 PM.  The shelter can hold up to  100 people maximum. Electrical outlets. Restrooms/changing rooms, outdoor shower on site. Beach and Visitor Center nearby.  For a fee of $75.00 the picnic shelter can be reserved for your group.  To make reservations in advance, call the National Recreation Reservation System at 1-877-444-6777 or go to www.recreation.gov
