Vault toilets at many locations now closed for the season.

Due to snow levels forecast at and below 5000’ for Wednesday, October 16, the vault toilets at Artist Point, Austin Pass Picnic Area, and Heather Meadows Visitor Center will be closed and locked for the season, and all garbage cans and signage will be removed from these locations. Please be prepared for route finding and snow travel if you will be visiting the Heather Meadows area and check the WSDOT website for updates on road access. Be prepared to pack out all trash, including human and pet waste. Garbage cans are available at Bagley Lakes Trailhead and the vault toilet at Bagley Lakes Trailhead is open. A Northwest Forest Pass or Interagency National Parks and Federal Lands Pass is required at Bagley Lakes Trailhead until the Mt. Baker Ski Area opens for the season. Camping is prohibited in the parking lot at Bagley Lakes Trailhead May 15-November 15.  Camping is allowed at Bagley Lakes Trailhead November 16 – May 14 in a self-contained vehicle only. NO tent or snow camping permitted. Camping requires a reservation through the Mt. Baker Ski Area during their operating season.”
