Cascade Campground

This campground is located in the canyon bottom along the Clark Fork River. The site is adjacent to the highway and across the road from the river, and forested with Douglas-fir, ponderosa pine and western larch providing abundant shade. Fishing opportunities are available at the river. The Iron Mountain Trail #242, historic wagon road, terminus is in the campground.

Current Conditions
The campground is first-come, first served. Water will not be available until mid-June. Call District to confirm opening date 406-826-3821.

General Information

A picnic table and fire ring is available at each campsite. A primitive boat ramp is available on Clark Fork River across the highway from the campground. Garbage service is available. It is 13 miles to groceries in Plains, Montana from this location.

Overnight Use:
Single Site: $15/night (2 vehicles included/site).
Group Site: $20/night.
Additional Vehicle: $5/night.
Interagency Senior/Access Recreation Passes provide a 50% discount to Single Campsites ONLY.

$15 per night. $5 fee for each additional vehicle after two vehicles.
The group site fee is $20 and filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

From St. Regis, travel 18 miles east on state highway 135. Campground is travel the south side of the highway.
