About Our Program

The MTDC Forest Health Protection Program works on forest pest management projects that are national and international in scope.  Examples of our projects include:

  • Development and evaluation of new equipment to improve the precision and tracking of pesticide applications

  • Investigation of new and existing technologies for pest detection and pesticide application

  • Data collection and analysis support for research experiments such as the dispersion of pheromones in forest canopies and the drift, coverage, and canopy penetration of ground and aerially applied sprays

  • Documentation of evaluation results

  • Technical support for the Forest Health Technology Enterprise Team

To accomplish our mission we work with partners including:

  • Colleges and Universities
  • Vendors
  • International partners
  • State, County, and other Federal Government agencies
