Perception Park Group Sites

Perception Park also has three group reservation units. They will all accommodate 50 people at one time and 20 vehicles. Reservations can be made by calling 1-877-444-NRRS (6777) or Recreation.gov and search for Perception Park in Utah.

You should check in with the Campground Host located at the campground entry gate on arrival to verify reservation.

The campground was especially built for the use of the handicapped in the mid 1980's with support from the Women's Conservation Council of Utah (WCCU), the General Federation of Women's Clubs of Utah (GFWC), and the Senator Gunn McKay. Perception Park is a high stardard campgrounds with paved roads, spurs, and trails. Although the campground was built for the use of the handicapped, it is not for their exclusive use.

Popular local recreation activities include fishing, hiking, swimming and tubing down the South Fork Ogden River (a life jacket is required for all tubers). Causey Reservoir, a scenic mountain lake, is four miles east.

Directions:

South Fork Campground complex is located approximately 5 to 7 miles east of Huntsville, Utah, on Highway 39. From I-15, take the 12th Street exit and continue through Ogden Canyon. Continue on Highway 39 toward Monte Cristo. The campgrounds are Magpie, Botts, South Fork, Perception Park, Upper and Lower Meadows, and Willows in order from west to east.
