Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) Silverwood to Wrightwood

The Pacific Crest Trail extends 2600 miles from Canada to Mexico. Although a few marathon hikers have gone the length in one trip, most take the trail in segments over a period of years. The PCT enters the San Bernardino National Forest in its southern end in the Santa Rosa Mountains. It exits in the northwest part of the forest at Boundary Ridge near Wrightwood.

The trail is for horse and foot traffic only; all motorized vehicles and bicycles are prohibited. Entry and exit points are numerous, which makes the trail ideal for short nature walks, half-day hikes or day hikes.

Volunteers work on parts of the 2,600 mile long Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail (PCT) both as trail adopters and through regularly scheduled weekend projects (1-4 days) and service trips (5-10 days). The PCTA, in cooperation with the US Forest Service, National Park Service, Bureau of Land Management and California State Parks, is also the primary source for information about the PCT. Fees:	An Adventure Pass or Interagency Pass may be required at certain PCT trailhead access areas.
Restrictions:	No Bicycles on the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT)! No ground fires or building of rock-fire-rings permitted anywhere on Southern CA Forests! The use of propane or gas appliances allowed with a valid  CA campfire permit.
