North Brush Trail #1356
North Brush Trail #1356 is a 8.8-mile moderately difficult trail that accesses the Brush Creek Lakes in the Sangre de Cristo Wilderness. The trail continues on past the lakes and ends at the boundary with the Rio Grande National Forest and the Major Creek Trail #751. This should be considered as a multiple-day backpacking or destination trip.
The Sangre de Cristo Wilderness was established in 1993 to preserve its quality, character and integrity. This area is intended to be a place where the imprint of humans is substantially unnoticed, where natural processes are the primary influences and where human activity is limited to primitive recreation and minimum tools. Please follow Leave No Trace Outdoor Ethics to ensure that this and future generations experience this special place in its natural condition.
