Goodwin Trail #1346

Goodwin Trail #1346 is 3.4 mile difficult rated hiking trail for foot or stock animal travel only located in the Sangre de Cristo Wilderness. The trail can be accessed from the Raibow Trail #1336, which is a motorized trail outside of the wilderness.

The Sangre De Cristo Wilderness was established in 1993 to preserve its quality, character, and integrity. This area is intended to be a place where the imprint of humans is substantially unnoticed; where natural processes are the primary influences, and human activity is limited to primitive recreation and minimum tools. Please follow Leave No Trace Outdoor Ethics to ensure that this and future generations experience this special place in its natural condition.

Directions:

Take Highway 69 south from Westcliffe to County Road 140(Schoolfield Lane). Turn right on CR 140 and travel to CR 129(Macey Lane). Turn left on CR 129 and travel to CR 130 (Horn Road). Turn right on CR130 and follow CR 130 till it ends at the Horn Creek Trailhead. Follow the Rainbow Trail north the Goodwin Trail #1346.
