Falls Creek Campground/Day Use Area

Falls Creek Campground is located on the south shore of Quinault Lake next to Falls Creek, a crystal clear stream, in the temperate rainforest. A beautiful stand of conifers within the campground provide a dense overstory. A lush understory of rainforest plants provide a scenic setting for a relaxing camp. The forested slopes of the Olympic National Park provide a scenic backdrop across Quinault Lake. Access to the Quinault National Recreation Trail System from the campground. A short walk along the lake shore brings you to Quinault Lodge

There are 21 campsites that accommodate tents, trailers and RV’s. There are also 10 walk-in sites for tent camping. Accessible campsites are available. 

A day use area within the campground provides a picnic shelter with 4 tables. There also four individual day use sites on the lake that provide picnic tables. Two ADA accessible parking spaces available in the day use parking area. The flush toilet is in the campground and is accessible.

Current Conditions: June 28, 2024 - Campground is scheduled to open July 4, 2024 at 11 a.m. Reservations are now open at Recreation.gov. There are also 10 sites with first come, first serve availability.

General Information

Directions:

From Aberdeen, WA drive Highway 101 north 41 miles to Quinault Lake South Shore Road (66 miles south of Forks.) Turn onto South Shore Road. Falls Creek Campground is about three miles from 101, on the Quinault Lake South Shore Road, just beyond the Pacific Ranger District, Quinault Office.

Note: The turn off the South Shore Road into the campground is a very sharp left turn.
