Snow Lakes Trailhead


Trail users should anticipate potential for 15-30 minute delays through first ¼ mile of trail during September – October 2021 and March – April 2022.  MORE INFORMATION

Provides access toSnow Lakes Trail #1553 and the Enchantment Lakes within Alpine Lakes Wilderness.

 

An overnight reservation permit is required from May 15 to October 31. Wilderness permits for day-use are required. The self-issuing day permits are available at trailheads.

 

$5 per vehicle/per day or valid Recreation Pass required

DOGS ARE PROHIBITED

DOGS are prohibited on Colchuck Lake trail, Stuart Lake trail and within the Enchantment Permit Area. Dogs, and all pets, are prohibited.
Dogs whose sole purpose is to provide therapy, comfort, emotional support or crime deterrent DO NOT QUALIFY AS SERVICE DOGS under the regulation and are NOT ALLOWED. Defined by Department of Justice regulations 28 C.F.R. Part 35.136.

  • Dogs are prohibited on Snow Lakes Trail and within the Enchantment Permit Area. Dogs, and all pets, are prohibited, except for Service Dogs as defined by Department of Justice regulations 28 C.F.R. Part 35.136. Dogs whose sole purpose is to provide therapy, comfort, emotional support or crime deterrent do not qualify as service dogs.
  • Campfires are prohibited.
  • Designated hiker campsites at Nada Lake and Snow Lake.

Directions:

From Leavenworth, WA, follow US-2 West for 0.8 mile, then turn left onto Icicle Road. Follow Icicle Road/Forest Road 7600 for 4.3 miles to the trailhead.

Alert! Vandalism is common to vehicles parked at this trailhead. Please do not leave any valuables in your vehicle.
