Chatter Creek Trailhead

WARNING: To those planning to hike a loop out through Frosty Pass and Icicle Creek Trail -- The bridge over French Creek 1.5 miles up Icicle Creek Trail #1551 is broken due to damage from heavy winter snowpack and is unsafe to cross. There is no way to ford the creek due to high water. No access beyond bridge on Icicle Creek Trail. It is not known when bridge will be replaced. See Photos of Bridge

Provides access to: Chatter Creek Trail #1580 within Alipne Lakes Wilderness. This trail is not recommended for horse travel. Hiking permits are self-issued and can be obtained at the trailhead.

Directions:

From Leavenworth, WA, head southwest on US-2 West for 0.8 mile. Turn left onto Icicle Road (Forest Road 7600), and follow for about 15 miles to the trailhead.
