Mill Canyon Trail


Area Status: Open

The Mill Canyon Trail #5063 is 4.3 miles long.  It begins at Highway 31 and ends at Forest Trail #5398.  The trail is located along the bottom and north slope of Mill Canyon.  The vegetation at each terminus begins in sagebrush/grass habitat types and climbs into spruce/fir types on the higher elevations.  The trail passes over Candland Mountain and connects to the Candland Mountain Trail #5398.  It is possible to travel up this trail and then return to the trailhead via Left Fork of Huntington NRT #5131, with a vehicle shuttle of 4.0 miles along Huntington Canyon.  Total length would be 13 miles.

East End (Highway 31):   8,080 feet

West End (Trail #5131):  8,290 feet
