Priest Lake Designated Camping Area - Norwood RD

Priest Lake Dispersed Camping Area is a popular spot with nine designated camping sites. A vault restroom is on site. Limited fishing is available at Priest Lake, while the nearby Galloping Goose Trail offers hiking. horseback riding, and mountain biking opportunities. Trailers are not allowed due to a lack of parking availability.

General Information

Directions:

Travel approximately 8 miles south on State Highway 145 from Telluride, CO. Turn left on County Road 63A, then left on to Forest Road #628. Proceed one-half mile north on #628 to the Priest Lake Camping Area.

There are hiking, horseback riding, and mountain bike trails nearby.
