Snowshoe Lakes Trail #33 is located within the Three Sisters Wilderness winding among Snowshoe and Upper Snowshoe Lakes, as well as, Long and Puppy Lakes.

The Snowshoe Lakes Trail is located within the Three Sisters Wilderness. Wilderness permits are required. See "Permit Info" below for more details.

Permit Info: There are two types of entry permits required between June 15 and October 15 for entering the Three Sisters Wilderness from the Winopee or Six Lakes Trailheads.

    • Free, self-issue Wilderness Permit (available at the trailhead) between June 15 and October 15.

General Information

Directions:

This trail is most easily reached via 6 miles on the Winopee Lake Trail #16 from the Winopee Trailhead, which is just beyond Cultus Lake Campground. Alternate trail access is via 8 miles on the Six Lakes Trail #14 and Pacific Crest Trail #2000.  Take Century Drive 46 miles southwest of Bend, then 2.5 miles west on Forest Road 4635. Other alternate access is via Sunriver and Forest Road 40.
