Leatherwood Loop Trail #116A

Leatherwood Loop Trail #116A winds through mature hardwood forest with cliffline to the north and Leatherwood Creek to the south. Rock formations and cliff areas can be viewed along the way. Creek water for horses is available along most of the trail. This trail is located near Cave Run Lake on the Cumberland District.

Leatherwood Loop Trail incorporates old timber roads to make a loop. Winds through cliff-lined areas and follows Leatherwood Creek adjacent to Leatherwood Road.

Trail Difficulty Level: More Difficult.

Horse use and hiking are permitted. Mountain biking and motorized use are not permitted. Trail open to horses and hikers May 15 to December 15. Open to hikers only December 16 to May 14.

Trailhead: Glady Trailhead (junction of Forest Service Road 129 and 915)
