Windy Gap, Milma Creek, and Tibbs OHV Trails


Area Status: Open

ATV's prohibited on Windy Gap above Milma Creek Trail intersection; dirt bikes only beyond that point.  Windy Gap Trail connects to Milma Creek and Tibbs Trail for continued 4-wheel and ATV use.

Current Conditions: The northern portion of Tibbs Trail has been decommissioned due to poor trail conditions.  There is no longer access to Tibbs Trail from the Lake Conasauga Overflow Campground.  Only the southern portion of Tibbs Trail  remains, with access via Milma Creek Trail from Windy Gap Trail.

Open Season: April 1 - December 31
Restrictions: Width restriction of 50 inches. Upper section of Windy Gap is suitable only for dirt bikes.  In the state of Georgia, helmets are required to ride dirt bikes, but it is strongly encouraged to wear helmets while operating any type of equipment on the trail system.
Closest Towns: The closest town is Chatsworth, Georgia, where you can find numerous grocery stores, gas stations and fast food restaurants.

SUITABLE FOR - Motorbikes and mountain bicycles. ATVs prohibited above Milma Creek Trail intersection, Windy Gap Trail connects to Tibbs and Milma Greek. Vehicles must be less than or equal to 50" wide.
