Sink or Swim Trail

Length:     1.17 miles from top of Rafferty Ski Lift to jct with Josies Ridge Trail #4027

Elevation:   6568 ft at Josies Ridge jct, 6516 ft at Lindas Trail jct, 6525 ft at jct with KC Trail, 6811 ft at jct with Hagen Highway at Rafferty Lift

Open to:  Hikers, Equestrian, Mt Bikes

Trail Highlights:

  • From the Josies Ridge Trail, the Sink or Swim trail cuts across the face of Snow King Mountain winding through thick pine forest with great views.  It eventually comes out at the ski resort, crosses the slope and ties in with the Hagen Highway Trail and the Ferrins Trail.

Options:

  • From this trail you can connect to Lindas Trail or KC Trail and loop back to the Flat Cr bridge.
  • You can also access the main road up Snow King, or connect to the Ferrins Trail or the Hagen Highway, which will connect you to the trails in the Cache Cr drainage.

Important Information

  • This is a heavily used, multi-use trail.  Please be respectful, keep your speeds in check if biking, and follow the right- of-way rules. 
  • Please keep your dogs under control and pick up the poo.
  • Always check the kiosk at the Trailhead for important information pertinent to the trail.

General Information

Directions:

 

To Access from Josies Ridge: On the bike path near the Flat Cr Bridge, head up the Josies Ridge Trail to reach the junction with the Sink or Swim Trail.  You can also follow the KC Trail from this spot which will lead you to the Sink or Swim Trail as well. 

To Access from the Hagen Highway: Follow directions to the Cache Cr Trailhead.  Head up the Hagen Trail and take the junction for the Hagen Highway towards Snow King.  Follow this until reaching the Rafferty Lift where you will intersect the Sink or Swim Trail.
