Prescribed Fire Notice

The Superior National Forest's Gunflint and Tofte Ranger Districts will begin fall pile burning starting on September 11, 2025, through the end of December 2025 as conditions warrant. No roads will be closed from pile burning. Smoke may be visible during ignitions and for days after ignitions. Fire staff will monitor burning piles during and after ignition operations.
