As a visitor to the National Forest, you are asked to follow certain rules designed to protect the Forest, natural resources and to provide for public safety of visitors. Au Sable River Primitive Camping -
- No permit or reservation is required outside of the permitted season.
- Camping Permit required at primitive campsites from April 15 to November 30.

$5 vehicle per day
$15 per seven day
Daily and 7-day passes can be purchased on-site with cash or check, or purchased on recreation.gov. Daily, 7-day and annual passes can be purchased at Huron-Manistee National Forest Offices. More information can be found on the Passes page.
