Benton Lake Campground

 

Benton Lake is a 33-acre lake completely surrounded by National Forest land. The North Country National Scenic Trail is located off Pierce Drive, about 2 miles east of the campground entrance road. This site is usually quiet, but there are lots of activities, including fishing, swimming, picnicking and hiking. This campground is very popular during hunting season.

  • The campground is gated when closed.
  • The day use area is not gated during the off season.
  • The day use area is not maintained in winter:
    • Access road and/or parking lot are not plowed.
    • No water and/or toilet facilities available.

Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week unless otherwise posted. Forest quiet hours apply.

Special Use Permit - 

  • No special use permit is required for individuals or small groups (74 people or less).
  • Permits are required for commercial, event or large groups (75 people or more).

As a visitor to the National Forest, you are asked to follow certain rules designed to protect the Forest, natural resources and to provide for public safety of visitors. Single Site: $30 per night
Additional Vehicle Fee: $10 per vehicle per night
