Mogan Ridge West Trail

This 12.3 mile trail is designated for hiking, horse riding, and mountain biking and winds through scenic hardwood forests and barrens, past interesting rock outcrops and for hikers- ties in with the 6.7 mile Mogan Ridge East Trail for a longer hike/backpack trail.

Horses and mountain bike riders (age 17 years and older) are required to have a permit and stay on trails designated for that type of use. Permits are available from our offices and local vendors.

Getting There

Directions

From I-64: From I-64, take the IN 37 exit south toward Tell City (Exit 79). Go south on IN 37 approximately 18 miles to IN 70. Go east on IN 70 no more than 0.1 miles to Old IN 37. Travel north on Old IN 37 1.1 miles to the Mogan Ridge sign on the right side of the road. Turn right traveling east on an unmarked gravel road for 0.4 miles to the radio tower parking area on the left. Look for the radio tower. GPS Coordinates: Lat- 38o 4' 15.995"N Long- 86o 36' 28.301"W
