Tower Ridge Road Temporarily Closed

Beginning Thursday, July 3, Tower Ridge Road will be closed temporarily for public safety. Several months of heavy rains and high use have led to hazardous conditions. It will remain open from IN 446 to Blackwell Campground, and from the east to Grubb Ridge Trailhead. The trailhead and fire tower are accessible from the west via Hunter Creek Rd.

Visitors are advised to watch for heavy equipment in the open sections as crews conduct maintenance starting July 3 and over the coming weeks to maintain recreation site access. Hunter Creek Road is an alternative for access to the eastern part of the national forest.
