Long Pool Recreation Area

Long Pool Recreation Area lies along beautiful Big Piney Creek, a wild and scenic river, and offers visitors a variety of recreational opportunities: camping, picnicking, swimming, canoeing, fishing and hiking. A large natural pool, steep rock bluffs, and captivating forests are just a few examples of the natural beauty surrounding this recreation area. 

One camping loop offers 19 camping sites with water & electrical hook-ups. This camping loop is open year round. Long Pool Recreation Area is located within the Piney Creeks Wildlife Management Area, which provides hunting opportunities for many types of game during open seasons.

Sites with no electricity: $15/site/day 

Single sites with electricity: $20/site/day 

Double sites with electricity: $35/site/day 

Day Use: $3/day/vehicle Pavilion: $35/day

From Dover, take Arkansas 7 north for 6 miles, turn left (west) on Arkansas 164 and go 3 miles, turn right (northeast) on County Road 14 and go 3 miles, then turn left (northwest) on County Road 15 and go 2 miles.
