Belle Starr North Parking/Trailhead
The North Parking/Trailhead provides access to the Belle Starr Multi-Use Trail.
Trails are gravel or unsurfaced. The trail is marked with yellow rectangles. Markers are posted at intersections to help keep you on the trail.
In autumn, hunting is a very popular pastime. Be alert and wear bright orange.

General Information
The Belle Starr Muli-Use Trail is a 22.6 mile looping trail that winds over the unique and varied terrain of the Ouachita National Forest. Riders and hikers will experience a diverse forest, with tree species including shortleaf pine, hickory, oak, ash, sweetgum, maple and elm as well as flowering and fruit trees like dogwood, redbud and wild plum. The trail offers users an opportunity to explore outdoor adventures, including awe inspiring vistas, clear mountain creeks and stunning scenery. Rides range from moderately easy to more difficult.
No permit needed.
Use of off-highway vehicles (OHVs) on the Belle Starr Muli-Use Trail is limited to designated roads and trails. Please camp only at designated camp sites. Trailheads are not designated camp sites.
For your safety, helmet use is highly recommended. Utilize the Motorized Vehicle Use Map (MVUM) to help you know the legally designated routes. MVUMs are available online at under the Maps and Publications section of this site or on the free AVENZA PDF MAPS mobile map application that enables you to download maps over a Wi-Fi or cellular network to read on your smartphone or tablet.
