Bethel South Motorcycle and Mountain Bike Trails

Motorcycle Trails

There are three trails that are relatively flat and fast single tracks through pine forest with some wet spots, small climbs, a few log hoops and descents. The three trails include: Bethel (4.6 miles of non-technical trail); Rattlesnake (3.8 miles of minimal technical trail); and Lost (6 to 8 miles of partially technical trail).

All operators must wear helmets and if age 16 or older, have a valid driver’s license.

Mountain Bike Trails

There are four mountain bike trails of various lengths and difficulty.

  • Badlands (9 miles): A flat trail with some rough spots.
  • Briar Patch (3 miles): An extremely twisty trail.
  • South Bethel (5 miles): A fast and twisty trail with some moguls, log hoops and rut-crossings.
  • Couch (3 miles): A twisty and scenic trail that follows the Tuxachanie Creek.

Call before you haul. Trail may be closed after wet weather for periods of seven to 10 days or until conditions are suitable for re-opening. Contact the De Soto Ranger District Office for current conditions at 601-528-6180.
