Beartree Lake Trail (Forest Trail #4563)

This paved and gravel-surfaced trail encircles Beartree Lake, an area popular for fishing and swimming. Fishing platforms and a beach area are also provided at the Beartree Recreation Area.

Directions

From Damascus, VA: Take US 58 east for 8 miles. Turn left onto FR 837 entering Beartree Recreation Area. Take the first right to free parking. Or continue on for 1 mile, through the fee station, and turn right to reach the beach area of Beartree Lake.
