OCCUPANCY AND USE
Appalachian Trail Partnership Shelter
Pursuant to Title 16 U.S.C. § 551 and Title 36 C.F.R. § 261.50, the following act is prohibited at, or within 500 feet of the following locations: Appalachian Trail Partnership Shelter, Mount Rogers National Recreation Area Headquarters parking lot, Mount Rogers National Recreation Area administrative building and visitor center. These facilities are located within the Mount Rogers National Recreation Area, George Washington and Jefferson National Forest, Smyth County, Virginia. This Forest Order is effective from the date signed by the Forest Supervisor until October 27, 2027, or until terminated by an authorized Forest Service official, whichever occurs first.
Prohibitions. The following acts are prohibited:
1. Possessing any beverage defined as an alcoholic beverage by State law. 36 CFR
